Every day, we work with different law firms, lobbying firms, consultants, realtors, and people in business to create a new or updated image that they love. It’s a blast for me. Being back in town also allowed me to attend the NPPA’s Business Blitz during their first stop in Washington DC. This new NPPA program is designed to offer a variety of topics to help freelance photographers enhance their technical skills while building a profitable, sustainable photography business.

Creating a great business portrait is no accident. We feel like a potential client has already made a great decision when they pick up the phone and call DC Corporate Headshots to make an appointment for an professional portrait session. Isaiah J. was one of the first clients to use our new online scheduling system to make his appointment in our Washington DC studio. We typically arrive 30 minutes prior to the client to set-up and be ready when she/he walks through the door. After shooting 20-25 frames we sat down with Isaiah to review the images and make the final selection. Once the final image was selected we sent it along to our retouching department for the finishing touches. 

We’ve been shooting a lot of business portraits for Washington DC Corporate Headshots lately; one of my favorite recent assignments was for the Washington DC lobbying firm of Carpi & Clay. Ken Carpi definitely projects a powerful appearance but he’s one of the nicest guys I’ve met. He directs a staff that works to craft successful approaches and develop strategic partnerships that meet, and often exceed, client expectations.

It’s always a pleasure to shoot for DC Corporate Headshots, where they produce outstanding business headshots and executive portraits.  The image above was created on-location in the Washington DC office of Carpi Clay & Smith.
